Williamson County commissioners approved a proclamation

Williamson County commissioners approved a proclamation of October as Substance Abuse Prevention Month in partnership with LifeSteps and the Texas National Guard Joint Counterdrug Task Force. Drug and alcohol use has become a nationwide epidemic leading to coalitions and other partners to team up for prevention. LifeSteps has initiated the slogan of #iLiveRed in honor of red ribbons worn supporting a fallen Drug Enforcement Administration agent in the 1980s.
