Wood stork fishing behavior, Everglades National Park, 2015.
Summary
Wood storks (Mycteria americana) have an interesting behavior called 'wing flicking', as shown in this photo. This is when a stork opens its mouth under the water's surface while simultaneously opening its wings. Interestingly, this movement startles fish and (hopefully) causes them to swim right into an open beak!
