Who of us cannot recallsome bird of our^ own land that would give us a similarmessage, if we would but construe it so ? The singularthing about these bird-voices is, that they always speak inthe language of the people they dwell amongst, and seemnot to have an universal language of their own ! Well, this was enough for Huitziton and the deludedpeople who listened to him, and so they packed up whatfew things comprised their household effects, and began totravel. It is thought that all the seven tribes startedtogether, or about the same time, but all had got into thevalley of Mexico and comfortably settled before the Aztecsfinally reached it.
