Youth Conservation Education Project at Crescent Moon Ranch (25270548967)
Summary
Students from Sedona Red Rock High School help Friends of the Forest volunteers muck out a ditch that provides water to a community garden next to Crescent Moon Ranch. The ditch is important because it is the only source of water for the community garden operates by gravity, so cleaning out the irrigation ditch assures the garden receives vital water needed to grow everything from kale and garlic to turnips, carrots and lettuce. The 18 students put in a lot of hard work and enjoyed grilled hamburgers, hotdogs and dutch oven dessert after several hours of hard work. Photo taken by Brady Smith on 2-7-18.
