description

Резюме

Just southwest of Spokane, Washington, lies the scenic Rock Creek drainage in the Palouse Tract of the Channeled Scablands, which was formed about 12,000 years ago by the ice age Missoula Floods.
The drainage, now a BLM recreation site, offers 30 miles of non-motorized trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. In addition, Rock Creek is popular for trout fishing and hunting.
Visitors can also explore the historic Escure Ranch, operated for sheep and cattle from the 1930s to the 1980s.
The recreation site is open year-round, with no fees charged. Use of facilities is first-come, first-served, including the six graveled parking slots in an equestrian/trailer camping area, and two 16-foot by 16-foot stock corrals with a stream-fed water trough.
Potable water is not available at this site.
The 3-mile-long road from the recreation site to Towell Falls is open seasonally (typically April to mid-June) to vehicle traffic.
