Barnepleieren har sykepleieruniform med hvitt skaut på hodet og hvit forkle. Barna står oppstilt rett utenfor en bygning. I bakgrunnen kan man se foten av et fjell og en tørkesnor med klær på. I bildets høyre kant ser man en trapp og litt av en bygning. Rotsundelv Barnehjem var en del av Norsk Finnemisjon. Det finnes en bok i Nasjonalbiblioteket som heter Norsk Finnemisjon 1888-1914.
