[Hurricane Katrina] Baton Rouge, LA, March 6, 2006 - Mobile homes and travel trailers are both supplied by FEMA as temporary housing options at FEMA/State developed group sites for homeowners or renters whose residences are unlivable as a result of the disaster.  Travel trailers are meant for shorter durations and are more maneuverable and easy to set up near the flood-victim's home. The homeowner has coverage from the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and is eligible for the Increased Cost of Compliance (ICC) benefit since he lives in a high risk area and is elevating his home above the base flood elevation in compliance with the community's floodplain ordinance. The homeowner will raise the house a total of 11' and has received the Increased Cost of Compliance (ICC) benefit included with his National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policy because of his compliance to the community's floodplain management ordinance.
