"Pinkertons" tell all, Washington, D.C. Sept. 25. Robert A. Pinkerton, (left) youthful president of the Pinkerton Detective Agency, and Asher Rossiter, as they appeared before the Senate committee investigating strike-breaking. Pinkerton told the committee of the gross income of the million dollar company for the years 1934,1935 and part of 1936. The gross income of the Pinkerton Agency for the first seven months in 1936 reached the staggering total of nearly $1,500,000. Rossiter described the labor inquiries his firm made for General Motors, Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Baldwin Locomotive Works and the New York Shipbuilding Corporation.
