Followed by an A-7 Corsair aircraft, a T-45A Goshawk aircraft rolls down the runaway, its jet engines leaving a trail of hot exhaust. The T-45A, which is capable of landing aboard aircraft carriers, will be used for intermediate and advanced student pilot training, replacing the T-2C Buckeye and TA-4J Skyhawk trainer aircraft. The Navy will eventually procure about 300 Goshawks
