The USN ship is on a scheduled five-month deployment in Southeast Asia. MERCY's mission is being carried out in close coordination and partnership with local medical care professionals and civilian volunteers from Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere), Operation Smile and other civilian organizations.
