Tulip Poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera)

Tulip Poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera)

The Tulip Poplar is the tallest eastern hardwood tree, growing to over 160 ft high and is named after the spring flowers, which resemble tulips. The large, four-lobed leaves turn a bright yellow in the Fall.
