A poster comes to life. "Never got so close to one of these babies before" says George Woolslayer (right) giving an army jeep the once-over. At the post where Sergeant French L. Vineyard (center) is stationed, Woolslayer learned a great many things about army operations. Aviation-radio Chief John Marshall Evans (left) got a few pointers himself during this tour of the camp which was arranged after the servicemen had visited Woolslayer's steel mill. The three colleagues of the "Men Working Together" poster found that they actually must "work together" for the successful waging of the war. Allegheny-Ludlum Steel, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

A poster comes to life. Squinting against the terrific glare and bursts of steam charging up from a strip of red-hot steel which moves slowly past them, Sergeant Vineyard and Chief Evans pause with welder Woolslayer to watch precious river, which comes off the blooming mill and rolls toward the four-high strip mill at Allegheny-Ludlum. They're learning a lot, these servicemen of the "Men Working Together" poster, learning how their lives depend on the production workers of the country, without whose skill and strength the weapons of war could not be forged. Soldier, welder and sailor watch this giant four-high machine at Allegheny-Ludlum which rolls bloomed ingots into sheet steel.
