While President Roosevelt was guest of the Gridiron Club at the annual winter dinner tonight, Mrs. Roosevelt played host to the 'Gridiron Widows' at the White House. Women government officials, newspaper women, wives of Gridiron Club members, and wives of guests at Gridiron Dinner, were at the White House party. President Roosevelt's fondness for detective stories resulting in the Presidential Secretaries, Marvin McIntyre and Stephen T. Early remaining late on the job, was satirized in this skit presented by members of the Women's National Press Club.
