Having had the initial and a good share of the development training, our twooperators, no longer new, are now playing on the varsity team and accurately completes the calls.Through these listening periods,however, the new operator soon findsthat she too can be just as adept atunderstanding customers, and quicklyforgets that the problem ever existed.Within a few days after the newoperator has begun her training, shehas acquired through the discussions,controlled practice, drills, and listen-ing, a considerable amount of operat-ing information, plus the knowledgeof how to handle properly a goodmany of the kinds of calls originatingin the office.
