Part of a garment. Pattern of a square containing animals and floral forms. A right-angle band (clavus) with figures and the same animal and floral forms. A selvage preserved in one place. Attached wool fringe.
Romei means "man from Rome", identifying people who once lived in Rome and now living elsewhere - Eastern Roman Empire with its capital in Constantinople..
