Japanese residents of Ginowan City and Chatan Town
Summary
Japanese residents of Ginowan City and Chatan Town participate in an evacuation drill during Constant Vigilance 2012 at Camp Foster Sept. 12. The residents walked the southern tsunami evacuation route, one of Camp Foster’s two evacuation routes leading to higher ground. The evacuation drill provided an opportunity for the Marine Corps and local community to come together to improve tsunami response procedures for the safety of Marine Corps personnel, families and Japanese residents living in low-lying areas.
