AIRMAN Renelou Sausa carefully rounds a corner of a building as her team attempts to complete their mission during Ground Combat Skills, (GCS). GCS is a week long training regiment consisting of 3 days of classroom work and 2 days in the field where trainees receive instruction on land navigation, combat patrolling and field craft skills. Attached to Sausa's helmet and upper body and her her M-16A2 rifle is the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) gear to simulate combat. When hit by a laser emiter a loud tone sounds off that signifies the soldier is wounded or dead
