OCEANSIDE, Calif., -- Petty Officer 2nd Class Newton Mak, an electrician's mate stationed at Aids to Navigation Team San Diego, installs a solar-powered LED light atop a jetty tower in the harbor of Oceanside, Calif., Tuesday, March 9, 2010. The team replaced legacy navigation lights on the jetties with LED lights that provide increased visibility, improved energy efficiency and are less susceptible to damage by wind and waves.
