OCEANSIDE, Calif., -- Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Tapp, officer in charge of Aids to Navigation Team San Diego, pilots a 26-foot boat in Oceanside harbor, Oceanside, Calif., March 9, 2010. The team replaced legacy navigation lights on the jetties with solar-powered LED lights that provide increased visibility, improved energy efficiency and are less susceptible to damage by wind and waves.
