Boatswain’s Mate Carlglo Rula, a landing signalman with the USS Comstock (LSD 45) and a Bacalod City, Philippines native, guides a MH-60S Sea Hawk toward the flight deck, Sept. 20. The Comstock is part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the Central Command and U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
