Galena, Alaska, June 30, 2013 -- Locally hired contractors work to clear flood water waste from the community center in an effort to remove the debris from the right of way and to the landfill. Federal funding in the form of Public Assistance is available to state, tribal and eligible local governments for emergency work, debris removal and the repair and or replacement of facilities damaged by the flooding.
