Marines carry a simulated casualty on an improvised

description

Summary

Marines carry a simulated casualty on an improvised litter while going through the Jungle Warfare Training Center’s endurance course Nov. 25 on Camp Gonsalves. “The hardest part about the course was the stretcher carries,” said Cpl. Samuel C. Mills, from Lawrenceville, Georgia. “If we didn’t work as a team during this obstacle, I think it would have been almost impossible (to get through it).” Mills is a fire support man with 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program. The Marines are with 1st Bn., 1st Marines. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl. Thor J. Larson/Released)
