"Norman, Okla., November 07, 2013 -- Members of FEMA Corps Team Hickory 3 tour the National Weather Center and Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla. In the background is the RaXpol, a rapid-scan, high-resolution, polarimetric, mobile, truck-mounted Doppler radar. Recently acquired by the Oklahoma University School of Meteorology through a grant from NSF, this radar is the first system that will be able to achieve a fully polarimetric image of an entire severe storm, along with everything else within the storm's range, in less than 30 seconds.
