NMCB-133 is repairing the runway so that supplies and equipment can be flown into the area in support humanitarian missions. NMCB-133 is in Iraq to support combatant forces with construction support and aid the reconstruction of the local community during Operation Iraqi Freedom. U.S. Navy Naval Mobile Construction Battalions (NMCBs) provide responsive military construction support to Navy, Marine Corps and other forces in military operations, construct base facilities and conduct defensive operations.
