The American and Red Cross Flags in recently liberated Bessarabia. Part of the train of the American Red Cross supplies sent to the Hospitals of the old Russian province, now in the hands of the Roumanians. It was the first train to reach this country with relief and was sent from Bucharest in charge of Major L.D. Hargis of San Francisco and Major C.E. Spratt of New York City
