It is probable that deposition of sand andgravel would be greatest at the end of Septeinljer and in Octoberwhen the river commences to fall and waters coming from the reachesupstream wlicic the grade is high would lose nmch of their load inthe first reach of low grade especially on a falling stage. In April1903 the Lado-(i<)ndokor() reach was much more difficult for navigationthan in 1901 although the water level as recorded on the ffaujre atGondokoro was higher. On the basis of the discharges which have been measured near Gon-dokoro a proxisional discharge table was worked out but it cannotbe regarded as reliable. It is based upon three discharges measuredat low stage about the beginning of April in 1901, 1903 and 1904 andon two others measured at flood .stage—1902 and 1903, but these dataare too few to control the values corresponding to intermediate readingsof the gauge between the lowest and highest.
