U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman Steve Yeon, Hospital Corpsman Robert Becker, Hospital Corpsman Timothy Basham, Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Gianfranco Vetesse and Hospital Corpsman Joseph Deleon from 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, simulate transporting a patient during bilateral training with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force medical team during exercise Northern Viper on Hokudaien Training Area, Hokkaido, Japan, Jan. 28, 2020. Northern Viper is a regularly scheduled training exercise that is designed to enhance the interoperability of the U.S. and Japan Alliance by allowing Marine Air-Ground Task Forces from III Marine Expeditionary Force to maintain their lethality and proficiency in MAGTF Combined Arms Operations in cold weather environments.
