Wolf spiders are agile hunters with excellent eyesight. These bulky spiders live mostly solitary lives and are opportunistic hunters. Wolf spiders will pounce upon prey as they find it and may even chase it for short distances. This individual may be waiting patiently & silently for prey to pass by so it can pounce!
