Summary

Wupatki pueblo rises four stories above the landscape and contains over one hundred rooms. Less than 800 years ago it was the tallest, largest and perhaps richest pueblo around! This pueblo was home to 85-100 people and within a day's walking distance for several thousand more. Why did the Wupatki people choose to build in the lowest, warmest and driest locations on the Colorado Plateau and what made them leave?
