Protecting U.S. International aviation routings. This committee met in the State Department to recommend appropriate steps to protect and foster the development of American interests in the field of International aviation. The particular case in mind is the Pan-American route to the Orient. Trans-Atlantic permits handed out. Washington, D.C., April 20. The Dept. of Commerce today awarded permits to the Pan American Airways from Great Britain, Canada and the Irish Free State. These permits are all non-exclusive and convey flying rights in and out of these countries for Trans-Atlantic Air service between New York and London.
