Camouflage - Miscellaneous - Shows one of the gun emplacements and the system of casemating. The floor of the casemate is below normal water level, and is concreted. Note the strength of the vertical supports, and also the fact that the wheels of the gun rest on wood. Experience has proved that continual firing of material resting on concrete deteriorates material with great rapidity
