[Hurricane Katrina] LaPlace, La., October 8, 2005 - Dan Waldman (left), jobless as a high school teacher at Signature Centers High School in New Orleans when it was flooded by Hurricane Katrina, has been hired by FEMA and is now at the LaPlace Disaster Recovery Center, 160 Belle Terre, and is in training to become a DRC manager.  He is a mamber of the "Teach For America" program that places new teachers into inner city and low-income area schools around the nation.  Win Henderson / FEMA
