US Air Force (USAF) Airmen First Class (A1C) Joe Ruiz (left) and Garret Black, 30th Space Communications Squadron (SCS) setup the Deployable Emergency Communications System during the 30th Space Wing's (SW) Operational Readiness Inspection (ORI) at Vandenberg Air Force Base (AFB), California (CA). The system is used to augment established land mobile radios for the base and extend the communications transfer range for local law enforcement.
