U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Michael Eckert reaches for a hold during the 2011 Aiguille Rock Climbing Competition in Orlando, Fla. After almost a decade of rock climbing, Eckert has utilized the strength he’s built from this sport to achieve many athletic goals as a competitor and now as a U.S. Marine.
